I am sorry but I do not understand why this proposed agreement cannot be posted on this site. Furthermore, why can a member not vote by proxy. Not all of us have the ability to show up for these meetings or votes. I believe that all members should have a reasonable right to a vote even if it may not be a totally informed decision. Because I am located in another town (going to school) should I not be granted a vote on my potential working conditions?
ReplyDeleteThere is 52 pages of information in the presentation and we will not put any details out in a public forum such as this site before our members have decided their position on this proposed agreement. As for voting by proxy, we have never allowed it in the past due to the danger of an important issue being decided by an uneducated or uninformed vote.
