CEP National Scholarships

The CEP is accepting applications for the 3 $2000 memorial scholarships for our region for 2012. They are available to members in good standing, their children or the children of retired or deceased members.

There is also a $2000 scholarship promoting equality in recognition of the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.

No Forward Look for January

The executive has voted to not publish a Forward Look for January. Although this has been a very eventful month for the local, virtually everything that we have been working on has been relayed to the local at special meetings, the email list and the blog.

Everyone is waiting to hear both from the company and other locals. When we have information to give you we will pass it on either here or through the email list.

Voting Results

I am pleased to say that Local 592 voted in favour of the Memorandum of Agreement. As far as the Catalyst locals as a group, 4 of the 5 locals voted in favour.

I don't have any further information at this time but will keep you all informed . We had an extraordinary turn out for voting and I would like to thank all our members for attending our Special meeting.
