Special Meeting Notice- Tentative Agreement & Voting
Our Local wage delegates, along with those of the other Unifor Locals, have reached a tentative agreement with Catalyst. This agreement will be presented to the membership at two special meetings.
The meetings will take place on Monday June 25, 2018 in the afternoon at 1pm and in the evening at 7:30pm. Our area rep and the wage delegates will attend both meetings to answer questions about the proposed collective agreement.
The membership will then have three days to think about the tentative agreement before making a decision. Voting on the agreement will take place Thursday, June 28, 2018, at the Hansen Hall, which will be open for this purpose from 2-7pm. This is not a meeting, just a vote.
All Members of 592 should attend a meeting and later cast their vote.

June General Meeting
The next General Meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 18. 7pm at Hansen Hall. We are looking for members in good standing who would be interested in the Financial Secretary/ Treasurer or a Trustee position on the Executive.
The previous strike vote was suspended, as the company reached out to the Unifor Locals with bargaining dates. This past week our wage delegates, along with the other Unifor Locals, have returned to the table to bargain with Catalyst over main wage & CCAA items.
We hope to have good news soon from our wage delegates. Please attend the general meeting!

2017 Bargaining Approaching
Brothers and Sisters,
It's a been a tough year in the Mill. Local 592 is being challenged on all sides. On the shop floor, everyone wants to know- "What's happening with the new contract?"
The good news: Most of the other Unifor and PPWC Locals in the pulp and paper industry around the province have already accepted the Pattern Agreement, or at least agreed to it in principle.
More good news: Thanks to the hard work of our Wage Delegates, we are in an excellent bargaining position. We have strong ties, close communication, and solidarity with the other Catalyst Locals- both Unifor and PPWC- and some very experienced negotiators on our side. It's time for us- all the Mills, every Member- to stand together, and demand that we be treated fairly.
It was great to see so many of you at the last General Meeting, and I hope to see even more of you for the next meeting on October 18. 7pm at the Hansen Hall- be there!

December Events
Hello Brothers and Sisters,
Just so that everyone is aware, the re-vote for President will take place at the Mill Gates on Dec 9, 14, 15. This a bit rushed, but the best we could do to allow each crew a chance to vote.
Because of the additional voting, the General Meeting has been moved to Friday, December 16th, 7:00pm, to allow for swearing-in of officers. The annual Union social will be held immediately afterward. Please mark your calendars!
The December Forward Look (minus the signatures on the cover) is now online.
